Return Policy

There are a few important things to keep in mind when returning a product you purchased from the Torrey Pines Gliderport website or physical store:

You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it

Only items that have been purchased directly from the Torrey Pines Gliderport, either through https://www.flytorrey.com/shop online store or the Torrey Pines Gliderport shop, can be returned to Torrey Pines Gliderport. Products purchased through other dealers, instructors, or retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns and refunds policy. Please ensure that the item you’re returning is repackaged with all the bags, manuals, accessories, shirts, and any other items that were included when you received it.

There are some items, however, that are ineligible for return, including:

  • Electronic downloads
  • Articles
  • TPG membership
  • Software
  • Electronic information packages

Restocking Fee

The Torrey Pines Gliderport does charge a 5% restocking fee for new paragliders, harnesses, and reserve parachutes. The fee will be based on the purchase price of the item, not including tax or shipping.

How to Return An Item

Ship your item back to the Torrey Pines Gliderport

To return an item to Torrey Pines Gliderport, please call the Gliderport at +1 (858) 452-9858 or email info@flytorrey.com.

After you call or email the Gliderport, you will be asked about the purchased item, reason for return, and if any damage has taken place.

Next, verify the returned item and the return address:
2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037, USA.

You will be responsible for shipping and shipping payment of the returned item. If the item is not received within 10 calendar days of the return initiation, the Gliderport will not accept the return. The Gliderport is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If you have multiple items to return you may use a single box or multiple boxes but please return multiple boxes as a group.

You can either schedule a pick up with the carrier or drop off the package at any of the carrier’s locations.

Bring your item to the Torrey Pines Gliderport.

You can always return an item to the Torrey Pines Gliderport shop, located at:
2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037, USA.

If you are located outside of Southern California, the Gliderport may have a dealer/representative located in your region, that can accept returns. Please ask when contacting the Gliderport regarding the return.

Refunds

Once we receive your item, a refund is initiated immediately. If you canceled a pickup item, and you were billed for it, we initiate your refund immediately after you submit your cancel request. The way your refund is processed depends on your original payment method:

If you paid by credit, debit card, or PayPal, refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within five (5) business days of receipt of the returned item. Please contact the card-issuing bank with questions about when the credit will be posted to your account.

If you paid by check or cash, the Gliderport will process a check back to you. Please allow up to ten (10) business days to receive the refund check.

Returned items are expected to be returned in new condition. All returned gliders, harnesses, reserve parachutes and helmets will be subject to a 5% restocking fee. If items returned are damaged, the Torrey Pines Gliderport will provide a refund:

  • Less the restocking fee of 5%
  • Less the cost of repair and billed at the shop rate of $99 per hour
  • Less the depreciated value of the equipment.

Please notify the Gliderport if any items have been damaged prior to return.

Exchange an item

Items purchased from the Torrey Pines Gliderport or https://www.flytorrey.com/shop can be exchanged for an item of equivalent or lesser value within 14 days of purchase. Item exchanges are, of course, subject to product availability. It’s a good idea to check in-stock availability by calling the Torrey Pines Gliderport or by viewing products at https://www.flytorrey.com/shop. Personalized items and custom-configured items may not be eligible for exchanges with the Torrey Pines Gliderport.

Items ordered on the https://www.flytorrey.com/shop that arrived damaged or are incorrect can be returned to any the Gliderport at the addresses provided above, or by contacting Customer Service at +1 (858) 452-9858.
